ABSTRACT
In 1986 a research project was implemented in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) to investigate the potential utility of the Defence Mechanism Test (DMT) for pilot selection in the Australian military forces. Further information on the DMT project methodology, and preliminary results showing the relationship between DMT scores and performance in ab initio flying training, are provided in Lowe, Hayward, and Neuman (1989).
