Differentialjobanalysesareanimportantbasisforthedesignofselectionand trainingprogramsforpilotsandcontrollers.Particularly,thedramaticchangesin flightguidancetechnologiesandthegrowingawarenesswithregardtopilotsand controllersassystemmanagerscallforareviewofthebasicpersonalcapabilities neededforthesekeyprofessionsinaviation.Thischapterdescribesthe developmentofanextendedjobanalysistechnique,reportstheresultsofrecentjob analysissurveysanddiscussestheimplicationsforselectionandtraining.
