ABSTRACT
Establishing a shared document and information management system that meets the needs of numerous organizational and regulatory stakeholders is a daunting project. The extent of the conversion process required depends on how well the system is meeting current and planned operational needs. As with any complex system or process, the first of many steps involves determining what those needs are and how well the current system meets those requirements.
