ABSTRACT
The mixture here is one of humanism and politics. An appreciation of the individual’s subjective condition is sharply set within a picture of a society in conflict. Similar to those who seek meaning, the radical humanist sees the individual creating the world in which she lives. However, for the radical humanist, this world is a fraught place, full of inequities. The nature of society and the state of the individual’s consciousness are critically related.
