ABSTRACT

Clearly, a more watertight agreement is preferable but less frequently used than many would admit. is is partly explained by the fact that many clients are repeat clients and a position of trust and understanding has already been reached. In such circumstances, especially where a standard fee arrangement has been negotiated, a client may well instruct works without asking for a xed fee quotation, and the contract is formed by just two letters, their letter instructing you to do the work (to your standard fee charges) and your conrmation of the instruction.
