ABSTRACT
A positive note came from the last months of the year, which saw some stability returning to the market. In fact, the declines in passenger numbers had been largely levelled out during the third quarter and, in December, passenger traffic was up by 12%, while both cargo and aircraft movements were up when compared with December of the previous year. Table 9.1 illustrates the top 40 airports in the world for passenger movements, while table 9.22 provides evidence concerning the top 10 cargo airports.
