ABSTRACT
The mythical paradigm of the "right stuff' for military pilots holds that these individuals possess extreme levels of confidence, assertiveness, and competitiveness. The typical lay impression holds that all military pilots have a singular personality type. While this idea may make for good Hollywood movies, it does not make for good science.
