ABSTRACT
Patients transported by aeromedical services may be any age – adults, elderly, children, and neonates. They usually have an acute medical or surgical problem, and may be flown on an interhospital, international repatriation or direct from the scene of illness or injury. The determination of the patient’s need to fly is crucial to the effective operation of any aeromedical system.
