ABSTRACT
It was in the month of October, 1492, that the New World was discovered. Columbus landed on one of the Bahama islands, which he named San Salvador, taking possession of it in the name of Queen Isabella. No-one in Europe at that time imagined that there might be some injustice in seizing a country which was not inhabited by Christians.
