ABSTRACT

Larry’s first proper job was as a school maths teacher, and that’s where he learnt the importance of goals in learning. Three times a week he took a class of 13-year olds who were struggling with every aspect of maths. One day the group were doing tables. Some of them could manage their two times table, but that was about it. Except for Paul Dobey. Paul had problems adding six and six, but he astounded everyone with his expertise at the 15 times table.
