ABSTRACT
My dear Hilda, I can hear the rain sousing down outside but I suppose it cant go on raining
always so I wish you a very Happy New Year. We did enjoy having you and Ida here for Christmas. Writing is very well and has the advantage of making a sort of diary but it is good to meet occasionally and say some of the things which one is too lazy to write. Besides as you say in your letter to Annie we are interested in one another’s doings and like to hear about them at first hand.
