ABSTRACT

Program closure consists of measuring ultimate success against objectives and to finalize or transfer any residual work before drawing lessons learned. In Chapter 10 we have examined how program success is evaluated and how the

decision to continue or stop the program should be based on measured results. In Chapter 11, I will examine motives to make the decision to stop the program and how to implement the decision. I will then explain how to create valuable knowledge for the organization from the program process. Figure 11.1 on the previous page represents the outline flowchart of the program’s definition stage.
