ABSTRACT

This introduction presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters of this book. The book provides an overview of in-depth coverage of the evolving specialty of police psychology from a clinical and applied perspective. It offers a judicious presentation of understanding to the intelligent reader who seeks knowledge outside contentious lines drawn in the sands that are creased with superficial closure. The book aims to give the reader room to pause and rethink some issues as an expert in the area of trauma and grief in applied police clinical psychology.
