ABSTRACT

This chapter presents some ideas on how to apply the Model of the Two Rings in the context of the platform of agile management. Some people may think that articulating and deploying the strategies top down gets the job done. The strategic deployment must be linked to the organizational deployment, and – most importantly – the organizational deployment must foster an agile modus operandi. The organizational deployment happens throughout the organization following a vertical as well as a horizontal vector. In the frame of the process of horizontal organizational deployment, the teams have to work out the distribution of the roles–responsibilities–resources–reviews–evaluations–recognitions with their internal as well as with their external partners. The IT-platform must conform to the principles, paradigms, and practices of the platform of agile management, which will scale the effectiveness and the agility of the organization, including by simplifying routine tasks. The chapter discusses the main roles of the IT-platform.
