ABSTRACT
Chapter 20 includes a section on the response of a single-degree-of-freedom system to the shaking of its support. The current chapter presents the analysis needed in design of seismic-resistant structures. For convenience, the material relevant to the subject in Chapter 20 will be reviewed.
