ABSTRACT

The last chapter is divided into two parts: in the first part, a distinction is made between skills and abilities in order to indicate that some aspects of sports knowledge can be studied only from the learner’s perspective. The abilities, such as a feel for the water or muscle memory, are perceived to a large extent as innate and possible to improve, to some extent, but not to teach. The second part discusses the main challenges related to the possibility of transforming tacit knowledge into words to share the research results. Its main conclusion is that until now no one has found a way to present tacit knowledge to others ‘without a loss’.
