ABSTRACT

Job enrichment has become something of a phenomenon in that world—albeit, more talked about than applied—but nonetheless, attracting much attention. Of late a process called job enrichment has begun to attract broad attention as a possible solution to the frustrations felt by people such as the ones above. Positive hygienic considerations were nonetheless important, because when weak, they contributed to job dissatisfaction, and when removed entirely, would push the person down the ladder to become concerned about them and not the context of his or her work. It is immediately obvious that Roy Walters enjoys what he is doing, which is serving as the leading private consultant and public advocate in what he terms "the business of easing the pain of painful jobs". Most trade magazines and business journals in America have carried articles on it and most business schools now either offer a course in it or have introduced it into an existing course.
