ABSTRACT

Cultural adaptation involves flexibility on the part of the organization, and a mental attitude that is positive toward people who have come from different backgrounds. The organization can adapt its procedures. In short, the organization can develop policies and strategies where tolerance is viewed positively. The business can actively encourage a broad acceptance of all individuals who work productively for the company. This chapter provides a model for use within an organization or business that will help to create a general attitude of acceptance of others. The model will show the strategies that have been utilized to bring about cooperative behavior where strong tribal loyalties existed. Goal setting will establish priorities, and provide guidance for employer and employees alike. Tolerance is" intellectual forbearance especially with the opinions of others; open mindedness". From a global perspective working together and getting the job done has become almost a necessary part of business.
