ABSTRACT

Socially responsible capitalism (SRC) has to create an environment that can be receptive to the socioeconomic management (SEAM) tools that allow one to regularly question the evolving organization of enterprises, on setting "gentle micro-restructuring", gradually evolving employment specifications, and preparing the individual to pursue technical progress. In the framework of socially and sustainably responsible capitalism, the key factor is found in the definition of management as a tool for change. The concept of SRC has been patiently built by means of numerous experimentations in private and public enterprises and organizations. The socioeconomic theory, sketched in 1973-1974, after the elapse of one decade of macroeconomic research, was built upon the refutation of two factors of production theory and the classical theory of work organization. The course of a socioeconomic intervention in an organization includes two actions: one horizontal, which involves top-management and management teams, and the other vertical in at least two units which mobilize the management and the employees.
