ABSTRACT
Professionalism is defined as the conduct and qualities that characterize or mark a profession or a professional person. It means we need to look and act like a pro to be taken seriously as one. Our decisions on hair, make-up and clothes will change throughout our career and have a lot to do with the market we are working in. Often people trying to get into radio overdress when they go into the interview and during their first few days on the job. Radio is a rather casual medium and that should be our guideline in how we dress. 'Nice casual' is the standard. Guys do not need to wear a suit and tie and ladies do not need to wear a dress. Sometimes our personal choices and our professional choices don't exactly match. And we need to consider this when deciding on whether or not to do something.
