ABSTRACT
The resume builds on the cover letter. This is where we spell out all our qualifications. On our resume, we will want to have at least the following sections: Education, Related Work Experience, Work History, and Skills and Qualifications. It is also extremely important that both our resume and cover letter are neat and look professional and that everything is spelled correctly. We need a website. Everyone working as a professional does. It does not have to be elaborate or expensive. There are many online sites that will let we build one for free and host it at a relatively small cost. Social media is no longer just for the fun of it. It is essential for just about everyone in any profession. It is especially important for anyone involved in media because we actually now use it as part of our jobs. Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn are must-haves. Instagram is also important but not essential to our professional endeavors.
