ABSTRACT
Chapter 7 chapter summarizes how this book contributes to generative urban design theory and its implications for Istanbul informal housing. It also addresses limitations of the study, focusing on issues of validity and reliability. The main findings include projections for future research, design and planning– in both the Istanbul context and the context of other informal settlements. It also is a call to action to preserve what is good about the generatively derived patterns and lifeways in each neighborhood.
