ABSTRACT

The office of the CIO is large—one of the largest I've ever seen. The couch on which I am sitting is comfortable enough to sleep in. The view outside the window is impressive, and somewhat distracting. We've been here for a little while discussing why, in particular, this Fortune-500 executive should bother with bringing me on as a consultant to help with, of all things, enterprise security. And we're talking because the case being made is that the help is needed, not necessarily on a technical or operational level, but in terms of the company's business strategy.
