ABSTRACT
It has rarely been easy to be a woman and a writer. Most often, women do not have a language of their own nor do they have the economic independence and the condence to write freely. They do not even have a right to their own body and the support of inspiring traditions. At some point of time, it thus becomes imperative that they refuse to remain victims and choose to educate and dene themselves as thinking individuals in their own right.
