ABSTRACT
The Critical Incident Method (CIM) is used to identify the critical elements of a job, skill, or task by isolating and prioritizing the behaviors that are essential to the job. It is used to support task analysis or needs assessment. The Critical Incident Method of analysis is designed to collect “real world” data concerning jobs and tasks.
