ABSTRACT
Chapter 11 covers annual giving, the first of the two primary programs. The next chapter deals with major gifts. Three subjects essential to understanding both programs lead off this chapter’s discussion: the role of volunteers, the principle of proportionate giving, and different forms of gifts (i.e., cash, pledges, securities, real property, and personal property).
