ABSTRACT

Joe Girard can sell anything to anybody. His book, titled, appropriately enough, How to Sell Anything to Anybody (Girard & Brown, 1979), was written to teach us his secrets. There certainly are personal reasons for just about anybody to be interested in selling; academic psychologists, for example, are keenly interested in “selling” their manuscripts and grant proposals to journal editors and grant review panels. There also are a number of more scholarly reasons to be interested in selling.
