What do you do? Chances are you will try to cue yourself in some way. Where do I know this person from? What letter does the name start with? Compare this with your preparation for an acquaintance for whom you are not experiencing a TOT. Here you might be planning on how to be friendly and social, but avoid revealing that you do not know the name.
