ABSTRACT
“Conative Individual Differences in Learning” is the title Dick Snow selected for this chapter. When unforeseen illness prevented Dick’s appearance at the Spearman Seminar and I was asked to stand in, I decided to retain his title and to follow the outline of his original abstract as closely as possible. Accordingly, the first section of this chapter considers a number of recent developments in theory and research on conative individual differences in learning.
