Exemplification Effects of Fiction and Quasi-Fiction

T he fact that misrepresentations of exemplified phenomena of interest abound in fiction and in quasi-fiction has been addressed earlier (chapter 2, the section titled "De Facto Exemplification in Fiction and in Quasi-Fiction"). The present question is whether such demonstrable misrepresentations are capable of distorting the perception of these phenomena, thereby creating inappropriate anticipations, dispositions, and ultimately behaviors.
