ABSTRACT
The field of behavioral psychology has grown enormously over the last 30 years in
breadth and in specificity (Risley & Wolf, 1997). Behavior therapy involves the
application of known principles of behavior to human beings to create positive and
therapeutic effects in their living environments. There are several general principles that
guide the science and practice of behavior therapy.
