ABSTRACT
The Family Problem Solving Code (FAMPROS) provides a comprehensive, efficient observational assessment of family problem-solving characteristics. It can be used to evaluate global family functioning, or specific features of problem solving. It includes multiple-item scales for individual-, relationship-, and family-level characteristics. The code was designed to capture characteristics of family interactions involving three or more family members. It may be applied in a variety of settings where family discussions take place.
