Research practices

What I am trying to do here is, in some way, reverse these four moves, and shift back to the oral, the particular, the local, and the timely. I am not concerned with discovering underlying causes, or explaining why people act/say as they do; nor am I concerned with generalities or abstractions. Engaging in primary communication research requires different research questions and accomplishes different things than does more traditional, secondary (removed) research. Most important, it is concerned with exploring possibilities and enabling practical action from a primary research position.
