ABSTRACT
In this book, I have been largely concerned with the theory of argument. In particular, I have been advocating an approach to argumentation that grows out of informal (rather than formal) logic. In the last chapter, I set forth my views concerning the agenda for both the theory of argument and for informal logic. In this chapter, I now want to ask this question: What is the best course of development for the theory of argument and informal logic? How can they best achieve solutions to the problems on their respective agendas?
