ABSTRACT
There are several ways of arranging the temporal relationship between the presentation of a CS and the unconditioned stimulus (US). So far we have described a procedure in which the CS is presented a few seconds before the US occurs. This procedure is called delayed conditioning (the presentation of the US is slightly delayed relative to the CS) and is shown in Fig. 3.6A.
