ABSTRACT
I am one of the authors of this book. My name is Douglas Kent Brumbaugh. I have been addressed as Doug most of my life. In my younger days, if I was not behaving as I should have been, I heard Douglas. If I was more out of line, I heard Douglas Kent. If I was pushing the envelope to the limit, I heard Douglas Kent Brumbaugh. My dad and my grandfather wanted to name me Mike, but they lost that discussion. Undaunted, they called me Mike. My friends awarded several different nicknames to me; many of my high school students called me Coach and some of my college students address me as Doc B. Over the years, I have answered to all of them. I am still me, no matter what I am called.
