ABSTRACT
This chapter describes why professional examinations are an important part of the licensure process for marital and family therapists, how these examinations have been developed and are maintained, and how you might best prepare for them. This chapter also briefly explores the nature of the qualifying (i.e., preliminary and comprehensive) exams that are a part of many graduate programs.
