ABSTRACT
Some background in the study of moral development is essential to understanding the DIT and what it examines. As indicated previously, the DIT is the most widely used paper-and-pencil test of moral development. Because it has been administered so many times to so many different types of people, a brief review of general findings from those studies will provide some perspective to understanding how journalists fared.
