The Deep South's Character Curriculum and Assessment of Character Growth

We next review the curricula described in the proposals from the states in the Deep South to see how they embodied the values expressed through the discourses. We were surprised to find that actual character education curricula were barely outlined in the proposals and reports; rather, we found a set of generalizations about how such a curriculum should work. Finally, we look at the ways in which the states plan to assess the effectiveness of their character intervention.
