A View From Cognitive Psychology: g—(G)host in the Correlation Matrix?

How can human intelligence be understood? The question is an old one, but age does not necessarily lead to wisdom, at least not in the sense that long-standing interest has led to a large body of accumulated knowledge and understanding.
