ABSTRACT

There is an old joke that never seems to go away: the person that has the most trouble keeping up with the Joneses is poor Old Man Jones. He works hard, but cannot seem to keep up with the material desires of his family, even though he is managing all of the necessities for life. Still, his hard work has provisioned his spouse and brood with the accoutrements that breed jealousy wherever they go. No one has noticed that Mr. Jones is the one suffering for all of the splendor.
