ABSTRACT

I once came up with a great idea to combat staff apathy toward virus attacks. It seemed like once we discovered and eradicated a virus, or so we thought, it would break out again somewhere in the plant. We had the necessary filters in place, we had updated our virus profiles on our antivirus product, but it just kept cropping up again and again. For whatever reason, the many copies of an attachment bearing with it some form of the address book raiding malicious code that had entered the environment before we got our defenses up were still out there. No matter, you say, people know not to open them, right. Not even close to right!
