ABSTRACT
The product solution is recovered and an aliquot is counted for the beta emissions of 14C in a liquid scintillation counter (LSC). The concentration in the solution is converted by calculation using known factors such as the amount of air sampled to obtain the 14C air concentration and the total activity discharged. The collection efciency is estimated to be greater than 90%.
