ABSTRACT
Creating a virtual machine is an essential part of using Microsoft Virtual Server 2005. Building upon the previous two chapters, this chapter provides the next step in properly deploying Virtual Server by walking through the creation of a basic virtual machine and installing its guest operating system. Th e installation of the guest operating system is not covered in full detail, but instead focuses on the primary confi guration steps and the confi guration of the guest operating system to support being installed in a virtual machine. Virtual machine confi guration fi les and settings are also discussed in detail.
