Cardiomyopathy is an important topic to review for cardiology examinations; special attention should be paid to the physical signs and possible causes of dilated cardiomyopathy. The diagnosis and management of heart failure,myocarditis, and systolic and diastolic ventricular function are reviewed elsewhere in this book.
