ABSTRACT
With the organization now having an established patch management process, it is time to put it to the test. This chapter is organized to bring the process together in the form of a zero-day exploit, one for which a patch has not yet been released. However, this example can be used to illustrate a virus or worm that has been released after a patch is available but the organization has yet to formally deploy it throughout the organization to the vulnerable systems.
