ABSTRACT
The purpose of this chapter is to introduce the reader to the profession of modern naturopathic medicine in North America, outline its underlying principles and history, describe the emerging specialty of naturopathic pain medicine, and give the reader a cursory overview of a sampling of its traditional and emerging treatment modalities.
