ABSTRACT

Analogous to median nerve compression at the wrist, ulnar nerve compression at the wrist occurs in Guyon’s canal, producing ulnar tunnel syndrome. Guyon,

a French surgeon, described the fibroosseus tunnel shown in Figures 22.2 and 22.3 of the previous chapter. While not as common as carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar tunnel syndrome should be suspected in patients who complain of hand numbness.
