ABSTRACT

The common peroneal nerve runs in an exposed fibro-osseus tunnel at the level of the fibular neck. Compression produes a characteristic clinical picture that, while it bears many names in the medical literature (restless legs, crossed-legs palsy, isolated peroneal nerve palsy at the head of the fibula), will be discussed here as the peroneal tunnel syndrome.
