ABSTRACT
So far the discussion of interfaces has dealt mainly with their equilibrium properties. Such topics as interfacial thermodynamics, equilibrium shapes of fluid interfaces, equilibrium contact angles, and equilibrium phase behavior in systems containing surfactants are central to the understanding of interfacial phenomena and are discussed to a greater or a lesser extent in most textbooks on the subject.
